Save the Children Vacancy for MCHIP Program based in Bireun


Save the Children is the world's leading children's rights organization,
with 17 national Save the Children offices and operational programs in
over 120 countries. We deliver immediate and lasting improvements to
children's lives worldwide. Currently Save the Children is seeking
highly motivated, dedicated and experienced staff to be a part of our
team to start immediately in Bireun for MCHIP.

MCHIP's global strategy is to accelerate the reduction of maternal,
newborn, and child (MNCH) mortality in 30 USAID priority countries. In
Indonesia MCHIP, a consortium led by JHPEGIO, aims to accelerate the
reduction of maternal neonatal morbidity and mortality toward
achievement of MDG's 4 and 5. The program objective is to increase
utilization of quality district based integrated MNCH services, and
practice of health maternal and neonatal behaviors. This 18 month
project will achieve its objective by improving practices at the
community level, improving clinical services from along the home to
hospital continuum and improving management of the district health
system. MCHIP will work and within the districts of Bireuen, Kutai Timur
and Serang. Save the Children is responsible for the technical on
newborn health and community programs, as well as program implementation
for District Bireun.

The position we needed, as follow:

HEALTH FACILITY SPECIALIST, Bireun based - (Code: MCHIP HFS) - 1
position

The Technical Specialist for Health Facilities based in Bireun will be
responsible for ensuring all capacity building and other activities to
support improvement of facility based clinical services are implemented
according to MCHIP global and Indonesia guidance and standards.

GENERAL RECQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor degree or equivalent in Doctor of Medicine, Midwife,
Nurse or Master of Public Health
2. At least 3 years work experience supporting quality improvement
of health facilities and 2 years experience working on donor funded
program is preferable
3. Broad technical experience in health with proven experience in
managing program using a capacity building development approach
4. In depth knowledge of MNCH and community mobilization methods
for MNCH
5. Knowledge of community based MNCH approaches including KMC,
antenatal and post-natal care, and CCM (for post no. 4)
6. Very strong communication skills
7. Proven ability in programming within set time frames and with
demonstrated impact
8. Proven and demonstrated writing and presentation skills in
English and Bahasa Indonesia
9. Proven skills in health monitoring and evaluation systems
10. Strong working relationships with government and other partners
11. Strong ability to write comprehensive reports and develop
presentations to document project successes and lessons learned
12. Excellent English and Indonesian language skills - both verbal
and written
13. Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment.
